Nightclubs
Romania knows how to party and like many European nightclubs, music can be heard from late at night into the early hours of the morning, from pubs, bars, discos, and clubs. Bucharest, including the Bucharest old town nightlife, Cluj-Napoca, Brasov, and Constanta are locations of some of the nightclubs listed here, but other cities host nightclubs. Follow the music!
Most nightclubs don’t get started until around midnight, with some having a policy to stay open until the last dancer has gone home, which makes for quite a different nightclub experience when compared to most other cities. Here are just some of the nightclubs in Romania:
Bamboo Club
Strada Tuzla 50, BucharestOpen Friday and Saturday from 23:00 to 05:00, the Bamboo is definitely Bucharest's most famous disco. A smart and stylish place, always busy at weekends. The club hosts the most famous international DJs for House music, Techo & electronics, to make you dance till dawn. The Bamboo has a vast dance floor, a bar, a swimming pool, and a nice terrace. It undergoes a renovation each year for original styling to keep clients intrigued and providing state of the art sound technology, becoming a trendsetter and benchmark in clubbing and nightlife destinations.
Fire Club
Strada Gabroveni 12, BucharestOpen from Sunday to Wednesday 22:00 to 04:00, Friday and Saturday from 22:00 to 05:00. Located in the center of Bucharest, the Fire Club is a historic disco-pub popular with young people and tourists. Music is focused on rock, but changes depending on the evening. It is an excellent base from which to absorb the authentic nightlife in Bucharest.
Kristal Glam Club
Bulevardul Regina Elisabeta 34, BucharestLocated in the northeastern part of Bucharest, the Kristal Glam is only open on Friday and Saturday nights from 23:00 to 06:00. The club focuses on electronic music and organizes some of the most amazing events in the city. The name is inspired by the giant chandelier in the place, which has been voted as the best club in Romania six times. The Kristal Glam is loved by the young people of Bucharest and offers the best local and international DJs in electronic music.
Expirat Club
Strada Doctor Constantin Istrati 1, BucharestOpen daily from 18:00 to 06:30, the Expirat is one of the oldest clubs in the city, having opened in 2002. It is also one of the most important clubs in Bucharest hosting live music evenings. The club has a beautiful terrace open from 18.00 that serves excellent food, perfect as an after-work venue.
Flying Circus, Cluj-Napoca
Strada Universității 3, Cluj-NapocaOpen Sunday – Thursday from 17:00 to 04:00 and Friday – Saturday 17:00 to 06:00, a Friday night delirium is available every night of the week at Flying Circus in Cluj-Napoca. The venue offers a variety of events including movies, theatre, and dance to rock concerts to experimental jazz as well as debates, talk shows and more. Offering craft beers, the venue also has a special offer drink each night, with the price reduced by more than 50 percent on either shot, long drinks or beer. There are regular screenings of classic films and audience favorites, with a sound system better than any cinema, plus free popcorn and entry.
Janis Club, Cluj-Napoca
Bulevardul Eroilor 5, Cluj-NapocaInspired by the hippie philosophy of “total freedom,” Janis Club is the only truly multicultural dance-club in Cluj-Napoca, with music from all eras and genres and a diverse clientele made up of people of all ages, nationalities, and minorities existing in Cluj. Music includes rock, rock ‘n roll, blues and pop to R & B, rap and hip-hop, from Latin to Balkan, from Gypsy to Arabic and Russian and musical periods from the 50s to the present, many of which are among the best songs of their genre.
Times Pub Brasov

Il Caminetto, Brasov
Piata Sfatului 27, BrasovIn the old town square of Brasov, Il Caminetto is a music venue with live music events from both international and domestic artists. Catering specifically for those aged between 30 and 45 years of age, it offers an elegant venue that caters for the business community. You need to book in advance, as entry is by reservation only.
Doors Club
Strada Traian nr. 68A, ConstantaFor those who love rock and roll, this is the place to be. There are events here that cover other genres of music too, including folk-rock, so look out for details. They have hosted both internationally famous and locally famous bands across all genres.
